Node-RED uses flows_.json as the default flows file. If the Projects feature is enabled, this identifies which project should be started. To open a terminal, you can press Ctrl, Alt and T keys together. If the Projects feature is not enabled, this sets the flow file you want to work with. Method 1: Launch Ubuntu terminal using keyboard shortcut I find using keyboard shortcuts in Ubuntu a lot more convenient. When you deploy your changes, the flows are then started. The software you install there is from tarballs and those come with them pre-set as they should be. Besides that: /opt/ does never need permissions changed. Node-RED can be started using the command node-red. The Flatpak plugin for the Software app makes it possible to install apps without needing the command line.
