This, however, isn't true since 0.10.0 (captain rework). Don't entirely forget your rocket planes though even though it just got harder to hit DDs, they're still fearsome spotters and/or can be a nuisance to larger targets (which even I can still hit).Īlthough a bit unrewarding, it's worth setting up a training room to get some target practice with your CVs, especially if you're struggling with one or other type. I would suggest practicing with bombers in the first instance it took me a while to get to grips with them, but they can be very worthwhile (for both IJN and KM, if you follow the general advice so far, you're getting AP for the silver lines). I would say though that it's a good idea to try and vaguely get the hang of at least one other plane type too unless you're a CV god, you'll quite often find yourself short of whatever your favoured plane type is. If you're after raw damage, the IJN are the top pick, but a DD has a better chance of evading your torps, so you'll probably do more damage against fatties the down-side here is that spotting and pounding fatties is often (although not always) less influential on the game's outcome - as a DD, I tend to rejoice when the opposing CV starts farming the fat lads and lets me go about my business. Think about what you want to primarily hunt: as others have mentioned, the German torps are the easiest to score hits with (due to the speed etc., excluding the T6 premium that was just removed), but they don't do a lot of damage this lends itself to hunting DDs, and synergises well with the whole spotting thing (which is why CVs are so nasty when played properly). This is mostly from the perspective of a target for CVs (DD main), but I do make quite a lot of use of CVs in Ops (and the odd Coop): They do have quite low dmg and flood chance tho. If you want torps that are very good against DDs, good against cruisers, okish against BBs, Germans are the way, coz their torps just don't miss with the proper aim, thnx to their spread drop and speed. I mostly watch it coz I rarely play CVs (except the Germans, coz I like em), and playing other classes are more enjoyable, but to keep myself updated, I watch this guy's vids And if your prediction was good, those torps are guaranteed to hit. You start your attack run, outside your conceal (with the proper upgrades and commander skills) and by the time you are spotted, you can already launch your torps and retreat. The torps are fast, have high damage, and have a 6km range, and a low pin point spread. And with conceal, you get the planes conceal very low, which isn't quite possible on other nations. So you want to maneuver a lot with those planes to avoid flak.
#World of warships best carrier line full
These 10-12 torpedo dropiing bombers are really only meant to clap sorry campers as only they will be hit for the full pattern's worth of total damage, moving ships only part of that damage and actually evading ships light or no damage. So the indivudual strong damage torpedo is to be preferred over the 10 or 12 some planes can drop, that have very weak individual power. * ships that evade like a drunkern walibi often take very few torpedo's of a pattern launched at them. US and UK torpedoes are ok-ish in power, but very slow traveling. German torpedoes of the Tech tree line are as fast as IJN ones but are much lighter and lack power vs BB. Still IJN torpeodoes.as torpedo individual* power ( 7200 for T for T10 ) is very important too, not only their speed. What is best CV line for players that like torpedoes? On other hand USN have trash torpedoes and good planes.

I tried IJN CVs which have solid torpedoes but paper planes. I cant hit a thing with rockets and bombs so I like torpedoes.
